Terry Fisher has worked in children's publishing, commercial advertising, and corporate design & marketing.

 

Fisher's books combine his love of story with nature, offering a unique voice to his readers and creating a character from the setting. He often writes about isolated towns, where characters endure a sense of entrapment and loneliness. This is why he builds stories on foundational themes such as perseverance and friendship.

 

Terry Fisher was born and raised in northern New York, in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. It is here, he spent most of his life enjoying and appreciating the great outdoors. It is here, many of his characters were born.   

 

He now lives and works in Greenville, South Carolina, with his wife Michelle and their son Evan.
